An original color key concept with scene notes from the Don Bluth Studios animated film "The Pebble and the Penguin" (1995). Featuring imagery of Hubie trapped in a crate, the hand-painted concept was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The concepts are used to develop and finalize the color palette, layout of the action, and the overall feel of the scene. When a color concept is finalized during production, it becomes the reference tool that animators use to paint cels and backgrounds, as well as to further progress through the storyboarding and layout of the individual scenes. Measuring 0.75"x1.75", The concept and note are attached to a presentation board and are in very good condition with minor handling wear due to studio use.
